Why Finance Broker Quotes

Offers built from the same information

Finance a truck or a machine on the dealer's offer, or on your own bank's, and it might be a fine deal. There is no way to tell, because there is nothing to hold it against.

A broker is not a lender. A broker arranges finance through a panel of lenders, and panels differ from broker to broker. That is why your enquiry goes to at least three brokers rather than stopping at the first: the same deal can be priced against more of the market, which gives you a far better idea of what a good offer looks like.

Request quotes here and I pass the same details, the ones you gave once, to each broker.

That last part does more work than it looks. Quotes taken months apart are not comparable. Neither are quotes built on different assumptions about your deposit, your term, or how long you have been trading. When everyone is working from an identical brief, more of the difference between the quotes comes from what each broker can arrange, and less from what you happened to mention.

One form. Then you read what comes back and decide.

You give your details once, and each broker starts from them. If nothing that arrives suits you, say no. You are under no obligation to take any of it.

Where I fit, and where I do not

What I do is check that an enquiry is genuine and that I have understood it, then pass it to brokers who work in your kind of asset. After that I step out of the way. I do not sit in on the conversation, I do not tell you which offer to take, and I have no view on which lender you should use.

The site is free to use. While I'm building the service, I don't charge brokers for introductions. If that changes, this page will say so, and it will never change what the guides say or put me on anyone's side.
